Local Mòd – Entry Registration Information

Please discuss entries with class teachers. Entry deadline is 28th March 2025. Parents will need to support pupils with preparation. The school can provide recordings and will also arrange for some support.

Please note that when entering children, the class in which they will be placed in next session is the one to be selected, which means that children currently in N4 will be entered as in P1.

Wednesday 28th May  – chanter/piping (after school)
Thursday 29th May – Precenting/ Bible readings (after school)
Friday 30th May – Main Mòd competitions  (from 2.00pm onwards)
Saturday 31st – Instrumentals and adult competitions (from 9.30am onwards – morning only) Highland dancing competitions (afternoon) – tbc

Soup and Pudding – Saturday, 22nd March 2025

The Parent Council have their Soup & Pudding on Saturday 22^nd March, at Columba 1400. They are still looking for volunteers and people to make soups and puddings. There will also be a raffle, donations gratefully received.

This event is specifically for raising money for the library that the children want to create. They are also looking for donations of books on the day.

World Book Day – Thursday, 6th March 2025

On Thursday 6^th March pupils can come in as character from a favourite book.

P1 & Nursery Enrolment 2025

Primary 1

If your child will be five years of age on or before 28^th February 2026, they are eligible to enrol for Primary 1.  If you wish to enrol your child for Primary 1, please do so during enrolment week.

Enrolment week for Primary 1 pupils will take place from Monday, 27^th January to Friday, 31^st January 2025.

Nursery

Children born between 1^st March 2022 and 28^th February 2023 are entitled to a funded Early Learning and Childcare place.

For Early Learning and Childcare places, enrolment week commences Monday, 10^th February and concludes on Friday, 15^th February 2025.
